 Today we continued to work on the project. My role in the group circle is the connector, I need to connect the stories themes and events to personal experiences and real world events. I personally am alright with this role it isn't too much work but also not too little.

 Today we were assigned a new project to work on with a group. Each person in the group has a specific role in the group. I was given the role connector. The project isn't due until Thursday and we''ll need to present it that day too.

 Today we read a text on newsela based health impacts social media has on young adults. We had to write a argumentative passage about the text what we personally thought of the text. I agreed that social media can have negative impacts on young adults. I didn't get to finish it today because I came in late but I will be given the chance on Monday. 

 Today we are on a weird schedule due to a pep rally we have today. I didn't even come to 4th period due to the schedule. I was at crosskeys still when the 4th period happened. Once I got to school it was 5th period and I had to take my picture for picture day makeup. 

 Absent

 Today in class we worked on an assignment on newsela and answered questions on a worksheet it was only 2 questions. The topic we read on newsela was about christopher Columbus and if he was the first person to discover America. The worksheet made direct claims we needed to find supporting details in within the passage with direct quotes. This assignment was pretty short so I had a few minutes of down time once I finished.

 Today we learned our lesson 5 vocabulary words. All of them shared in common that they all began with the letter D. I didn't recognize any of them more so even heard of them before but they're just big fancy words for smaller words in my opinion. Today we had to make a presentation with 10 of the vocabulary words with the definition and an image included with an explanation on how the image relates to the word.

 Today we independently read a paragraph about 4 and 3 year colleges. We identified 10 claims in the paragraph and identified what type of claims it is, This assignment was a little hard I'm not gonna lie, but it was chill to do work independently, We should do more independent assignments the peace and quiet is nice.

 Absent!

 Today we wrote notes on 3 categories of evidence. They're experiences, observations, and reading. The class wrote 5 reasons lakeside is overrated. Today class was laid back and chill. Taking notes can be relaxing because you can almost turn off your brain.

 Today we worked on creating claims of value. we had to create 7 of them with a list of 5 criteria. I finished this assignment just on time before the bell rang. It was a fairly simple and laid back assignment very chill. Glad its a Friday I can't wait to be at home. 

 Today we took a test on illuminate it had 25 questions to complete. We had to read 2 paragraphs about the United States fight to attain intervention. I finished the test fairly quick it was all we had to do today. I cant wait for fall break to come even though we just had 4 days off it didn't feel like enough at all. I am counting the days down for the day to come of the 1st day of fall break.

 ABSENT

 Today we learned about arguments and wrote notes about them. I learned their are different ways to appeal to people. After we wrote the notes we looked at ads and identified what type of appeal it was intending. Today was a pretty laid back day and was very much needed. I am still working on bringing up my grades for this class.
