8/19/25 Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you

1 of my burning questions about life is what comes after death? Another burning question of life i have is what is the purpose of life? These two questions are important because when I was a kid, I would spend hours pondering their answers, and I never figured them out, and it never sat well with me. Today in class we read a new poem and answered a few questions.

8/18/25 Monday Describe a time when you felt completely lost

A time I've felt completely lost is when I was in my freshman year and was struggling to adapt to the transition from middle school to high school. Today in class, we will present our masks i am pretty sure. The presentation is supposed to be 1-2 minutes but i am unsure if i will have a presentation that long. Dont really wanna present it to be honest.

8-15-25 Friday Analyze how you’ve adapted to the demands of this course over the past week, and evaluate one strength and one challenge you anticipate as we progress, justifying your insights with personal examples.

One strength I will have as this school year progresses is that I will complete all my work. One challenge I anticipate facing as the year progresses is that I will struggle to attend classes every day. Today in class, we spent our time completing all of this week's assignments. I am very content with the fact that it is Friday.

8-14-25 Thursday Describe how gender roles or patriarchy influence your identity?

Gender roles influence my life because in my household, it is expected for men to work and get their studies, and provide for the family. In class today, we learned the lesson 1 vocabulary words. And worked on an identity mask that shows are traits and what symbolizes them. We will present these on Monday.

8/12/25 tuesday Describe a meaningful family tradition unique to your culture and explain how it mirrors or contrasts with the cultural identity themes of expectations and roles in "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid.

A family tradition that is a part of my culture, that is an expectation for boys, is knowing how to make carne asada. Every boy in a Hispanic household should know how to make an asada by the age of 12. These expectations are similar to the ones for girls because the expectations set on her are expected by her mother on a day-to-day basis. I was absent today.

8/11/25 Monday Reflect on how your cultural heritage shapes your daily expectations, inspired by "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid.

My heritage shapes my daily expectations by living to my families expectations of me being a man everyday. Today in class we read a story named girl by jamiaca kincaid. After we read the text we answered some questions. today was my first day in this class
